Teenage Struggles - Chapter Thirteen

“Oh it’s almost 1 o’clock!” I excitedly stated

“You are too cute April, you must really like Zayn huh?” Eleanor asked me

“Yeah, I really do.” I said. I could feel myself starting to blush

I think in the short few hours that Eleanor, Danielle, Dana and I were together, we really bonded well and I genuinely believe we will all become great friends in the near future. We all stepped out of the lunchroom to go see how boys were doing at the signing and we decided it would be cute to surprise them by waiting in line just like all the rest of the fans do. I had packed my One Direction t-shirt in my bag so I quickly slipped that on. A couple dedicated fans recognized Danielle and Eleanor and a few of them asked for pictures as well. Dana and I aren’t known by the fandom yet so we disguised ourselves well in the crowd of screaming fans around us. As we were nearing the front of the line I noticed that all of the boys seemed unusually tired, but they really were trying their best to please all the awaiting fans.

“Did you really wait in line to see your boyfriends, girls? You could’ve just told me you wanted to see them and I would have brought you right to the front” The nice looking security man said

“Oh no don’t worry! We want to surprise them anyways” Danielle said to him

The middle aged security guard smiled and nodded his head.

“We’ll you’re up next girls, go ahead!”

Each of us ran over to our boyfriend (Well not boyfriend yet but you know) and I couldn’t help but notice each of the boys’ faces instantly light up as we excitedly made our way over to them. Dana and I both pulled out a pen and paper and asked for autographs so no one would suspect anything. I reached over the table to give Zayn a hug.

 “I love you” He whispered in my ear.

 I pulled away slightly and looked into his eyes.

“I love you too Zayn” I said with a gigantic smile on my face.

I looked over to my left and saw Harry looking a bit sad; he’s the only one without a girlfriend here.

“Hey Haz! How’s Caroline doing?” I asked trying to make him feel included

Harry looked away; rubbing his forehead with one hand then looked over to me. “Were not together anymore, it’s been a couple weeks now actually. I should’ve known it wasn’t going to work out” He said looking sad and slightly frustrated. I glanced over at Zayn with a guilty look on my face. I think the boys were trying their best to avoid the subject with Harry… Crap.

“Oh… I’m so sorry. We should all go out together for lunch and maybe that will make you feel better”

Harry looked up and smiled at me. “Sure” He said, still sounding a little distraught

Finally the boys were able to leave the signing and come with us to lunch; we all agreed to eat at the McDonalds that is just a couple miles away. Louis drove Eleanor, Harry, Niall and Dana while Danielle offered to take Liam, Zayn and I.  We had to sneak out of the area quickly so we wouldn’t be found and followed by any fans; of course we had a few security cars behind us though. Zayn gave me a quick kiss on the cheek when we settled into the backseat of Danielle’s car.

“What was that for?” I asked him

“I missed you” He responded as he yanked me towards him to suffocate me with one of his hugs

“AWW!” Liam and Danielle said out loud in unison

I smiled and gave Zayn a proper kiss on the lips.

We arrived at McDonalds in a few short minutes and the 9 of us made our way inside. Niall seemed really excited to be here, as soon as Louis parked the car Niall jumped out and grabbed Dana’s hand and they both ran inside together. When we got inside we all walked over to stand in line. A few people recognized the boys and some asked for autographs and pictures. They’re really nice about it, the boys will never turn down a picture if someone asks for one. A little girl who looked to be about 10 years old asked for a group photo so all the boys happily stood beside her for the picture… except Harry, he was flirting with the cashier, typical Haz. 

“Harry, get your bum over here” Louis called out.

“Okay I’m coming! Gimme a sec” He responded.

I watched Harry hand over his phone to the young brunette cashier. I could tell just by looking at her that she is a huge One Direction fan. The way she looked at Harry was adorable and I could tell that she was trying not to freak out in front of him. After Harry was handed back his phone, he happily walked over to the rest of the boys to take the group picture. Lou gave him a little nudge and Harry showed his gorgeous white smile.

After the photo, all of us sat down together to eat. Where Harry was sitting, he could still manage to see the cashier and I noticed him glancing over quite often. Zayn sat beside me and he kept on hand feeding me his fries, he did the ‘Here comes the train, open up’ thing to me, he found it funny… he really is a child inside. 

After lunch Zayn pulled me aside from the rest of the group.

“So do you want to stay at my place tonight?” I asked him

Zayn smiled down at me and nodded his head. He then grabbed my hand and led me back over to the car where everyone else was already waiting, to make our way back to the signing
